Cookie policy
Which cookies this site uses and why. All of them are first-party: no tracking, no advertising and no third parties.

1. What this site stores in your browser
Only first-party cookies, and only these. None of them is used for tracking or shared with anyone.
lnkd_lang— remembers whether you chose Spanish or English. One year.lnkd_session— your sign-in, if you have an account. It only holds a random value; everything else is on our server. It isHttpOnly, so no script can read it, and it lasts 30 days or until you sign out.lnkd_in— a flag with no secret in it, so a page can tell whether to ask the server who you are. Without it, every anonymous visit would query the database. Same duration as the session.lnkd_oauth— only while you sign in with Google, for ten minutes. It carries the one-time value that ties your return to the request you started.
The session cookies only exist if you create an account. Browsing the site, reading the guide or downloading the binary does not set them.
The theme (light, dark or system) is remembered locally by your browser, through the web platform's standard color-scheme mechanism, not through a cookie we set.
2. What this site does not do
No analytics script, no advertising pixel, no third-party tracker. There is nothing here to consent to beyond what a browser stores by default for any site you visit.
3. Changes
If that ever changes — for instance, if product analytics are added — this page will be updated first, and its revision date above will change.
