Frigate
Your Frigate cameras away from home, with its own login and on your domain.
Turn off its HTTPS
Before: the server installed («Install the server») and the agent's machine joined («Connect your machines»). With --preset, add sets this app's port, options and checks.
You publish 8971, the port that asks for a user. Frigate serves it with its own certificate: with https://, the agent talks to it over that HTTPS, pins its certificate the first time and refuses any other. If you would rather turn Frigate's TLS off, add it without https:// and put this in its config:
config.yml
tls: enabled: False
Publish it
On the agent's machine
lnkstart add camaras=https://192.168.1.40 --preset frigate sudo lnkstart install
Never publish 5000: it is Frigate's internal access, with no user or password.
Good to know
- The live view uses MSE or jsmpeg, inside the same connection (WebSocket).
- WebRTC uses its own port (8555, TCP or UDP) and does not go through here: away from home, Frigate uses MSE.
