QNAP (QTS)
Your QNAP NAS interface on your domain and with HTTPS, without myQNAPcloud or open ports.
Publish it
Before: the server installed («Install the server») and the agent's machine joined («Connect your machines»). With --preset, add sets this app's port, options and checks.
On the agent's machine
lnkstart add nas=192.168.1.31 --preset qnap sudo lnkstart install
8080 is QTS's HTTP port. The agent runs on another machine in your network that is always on.
If QTS forces HTTPS, turn that option off: the agent speaks HTTP to it inside your network, and LnkStart provides the HTTPS outside. If you would rather not touch it, publish its HTTPS as it is: lnkstart add nas=https://192.168.1.31:443 --preset qnap. The agent pins QTS's own certificate the first time and refuses any other.
Good to know
- Turn on QTS's two-step verification: the interface is on the Internet with its own login.
- With
--password, LnkStart also asks for a password before showing QTS. Fine in the browser; QNAP's phone apps cannot fill it in.
